In honor of Kansas' 150th Anniversary, Tom Averill was invited to Pioneer Memorial Library to speak about his book and share some interesting facts and information about what Kansas really means to Tom. Naturally a smooth talker, Tom told stories about history in a way that people really understood and wanted to continue to learn more about.
A wide array of desserts were made to satisfy any sweet tooth as well!
January Booked for Lunch had Matt Ludwick speak about his recently written book. He spoke on issues about growing up with hearing issues, bullying and overcoming these problems. He talks to audiences about how even today he finds that his hearing problems helps him be more aware of his surroundings, peoples feelings and the current issues of bullying.
