National Library Week 2012!!!

This year we had 3 authors and 2 special speakers fun lunch each day. We averaged about 45 persons per day with great lunches sponsored by the Friends of the Pioneer Memorial Library.



· Monday—April 9th   Author - Nancy Pickard spoke on her book, “The Scent of Rain and Lightning”

· Wednesday—April 11   Author - Wyatt Townley spoke on her book, “The Afterlives of Trees

 
 
 





· Thursday—April 12   Retired Librarian and popular speaker – JoAnne Sunderman choose  to review the book, "Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President," by Candice Millard. 


 

· Friday—April 13   Friend Board Member, Ann Miner and Children’s Librarian, Judy Kleinsorge presented Tolstoy and the Purple Chair: My Magical Reading & My Reading Life by Pat Conroy.
